Hong Kong District Cooling Company Limited (HKDC), a subsidiary of Veolia Hong Kong & Macau, operates the District Cooling System in Kai Tak Development and manages HVAC systems across major sites. HKDC drives sustainable urban development with energy-efficient cooling solutions.

Location: Kai Tak

Job Description

  • Develop, implement and maintain the safety management system
  • Work closely and coordinate with various site teams, including Data Center Operation Team, Property Team Security Team, etc. in conducting risk assessments on operational activities
  • Work closely and coordinate with Project Team and Implementation Team, in reviewing their risk assessments, required permits and monitoring their work safety, on expansion projects and implementation projects
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and monitor EOHS performance (including customers, customers’ vendors, employees, various site teams, project team, implementation team and vendors) for the data center
  • Plan and conduct safety trainings and promotions
  • Hold routine EOHS meetings with site team / management team
  • Report and record all EOHS incidents, and conduct incident investigation and analysis
  • Monitor the compliance with all relevant EOHS legislations and prepare relevant reports
  • Support customer, internal and external audits on EOHS aspect and ensure all audit findings are properly resolved
  • Ensure all required EOHS records are well maintained
  • Provide professional advices to management team for decision making regarding EOHS issues
  • Attend urgent site meetings, conduct site inspection and handle EOHS issues outside working hours if required
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree / Higher diploma / diploma holder in Occupational Safety and Health / Environmental Management / Safety Management or related discipline
  • Registered Safety Officer under Labour Department is a must
  • Registered Safety Auditor is an advantage

Additional Information

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ post-registration EOHS working experience in Facility Management / Construction industry. Preferably in E&M related projects. Experience in Data Center is an advantage
  • Good knowledge in local safety & health regulations
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • First-aid & AED certificate holder is an advantage
  • Proactive with strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, problem solving mind-set and ability to write reports
  • Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English
  • Good knowledge of computer application in Microsoft Office, English & Chinese word processing
