Job Description
The Process Engineering Operations intern participates in supporting the Process Engineering Department through analyzing and streamlining work processes, participating in integration activities and collaborating cross functionally with other departments in the organization and optimization of efforts in providing clarity and consistency in the design, delivery and operation of cutting-edge water and wastewater treatment systems.
As part of the Process Engineering department, you will work with a cross-functional engineering team executing custom project designs, meeting customer expectations, quality, schedule and budget goals, and ensuring project risks are mitigated. You will work on generating and analyzing financial reports, designing workload and capacity forecasting models, building personnel onboarding plans, supporting Continuous Improvement efforts as part of ISO 9001, and reviewing, converting and archiving critical legacy documentation and standards for the preservation of institutional knowledge and informed decision making.
Nature of work:
In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
Providing support for departmental financial reviews and reports
Support automation efforts for workload forecast and capacity planning models
Index and archive engineering standards and other documentation supporting
Maintain and archive critical tools and documentation
Support standardization of personnel onboarding efforts
Support Return on Experience (REX) Continuous Improvement efforts of the department
Convert/reformat critical documents and tools for department use
Support special programs in support of the Process Engineering Department
Additionally, the Process Engineering Operations Intern may be asked to:
Participating in project process and mechanical design review meetings
Assisting with project issue resolution related to design, construction and start-up

While on-the-job training will be provided, candidates may benefit from previous knowledge and exposure in the following areas:
Understanding of pumping and hydraulic forces.
Understanding of water chemistry.
Ability to read P&IDs and PFDs (including material balances).
SAP system experience.
