Job Description
The Laboratory Technician performs tests, experiments, and analyses in a laboratory setting or
provides support for laboratory activities.

- Technical aptitude for operating scientific testing equipment
- Works under the direction of technical leaders.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory testing or laboratory support per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Manage inventory for required operating materials
- Ensure strict adherence to all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements
- Ensure strict adherence to all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management System requirements
- Effectively manage all assigned tasks to ensure completion by established due dates
- Provide support for other laboratory areas and complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in productivity software including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledgeable of laboratory safety, chemical handling, scientific concepts and analytical testing equipment.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume laboratory testing environment.
- Basic skills in one or more of the following areas: spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, spectrophotometry, microscopy, electrochemistry, filtrations, extractions, gravimetry, metallography or chromatography.
Education & Experience
Required:
- Associate's degree or equivalent in Chemistry or related scientific field.
- 1+ years analytical laboratory experience using state-of-art analytical instrumentation or techniques
Preferred:
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Chemistry or related scientific field.
- 3+ years analytical laboratory experience using state-of-art analytical instrumentation or techniques
