Job Description

Part of Veolia Group, Veolia Water Tech brings together experienced professionals in pursuit of the same

mission! The Laboratory Technician performs tests, experiments, and analyses in a laboratory setting or
provides support for laboratory activities.

Duties & Responsibilities
● Perform routine laboratory testing or laboratory support per Standard Operating Procedures
(SOP's).
● Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
● Manage inventory for required operating materials.
● Ensure strict adherence to all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
● Ensure strict adherence to all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management System
requirements.
● Effectively manage all assigned tasks to ensure completion by established due dates.
● Provide support for other laboratory areas and complete additional tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
● Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
● Strong written and oral communication skills.
● Demonstrated expertise in productivity software including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets,
Slides, Drive) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

● Knowledgeable of laboratory safety, chemical handling, scientific concepts and analytical testing
equipment.
● Attention to detail.
● Ability to thrive in a high-volume laboratory testing environment.
● Basic skills in one or more of the following areas: spectroscopy, mass spectrometry,
spectrophotometry, microscopy, electrochemistry, filtrations, extractions, gravimetry,
metallography or chromatography.

Qualifications

Required:
● Associates degree or equivalent in Chemistry or related scientific field.
● 1+ years analytical laboratory experience using state-of-art analytical instrumentation or
techniques

Preferred:
● B.S. or B.A. degree in Chemistry or related scientific field.
● 3+ years analytical laboratory experience using state-of-art analytical instrumentation or
techniques
