Job Description

Job Purpose Statement:

The role is working directly with the OTR (Projects Execution) Team for the Engineered Systems (ES) P&L for ANZ/SEA region under the supervision of the ES Finance Manager. The role leads the transition of the deals from ITO to OTR stage with formalized deal structures & operational execution model. This requires driving the IFRS accounting standards, receivables management, estimates roll up, tax challenges and solutions with all internal and external stakeholders. This role demonstrates the ES-Projects Finance leadership for ANZ/SEA.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the quarterly and annual forecasts to drive business performance including risk &opportunities (R&O's)

  • Liaise with Global FP&A team in terms of budgeting, closing activities and all Management reporting.

  • Work with the Project Leader and ES MF in proactively highlighting financials risks associated with the project & working to mitigate the same 

  • Review the balance sheet accounts, support to controllership during stat audit

  • Closely work with project managers and tax team to drive the operational efficiency and projects controllership

  • Provide project execution support to OTR/CS team (Review LC's, Payment terms, Tax structure) 

  • Serve as a business partner to the Operating leaders to drive initiatives, growth and profitability at EBIT level, delivering on cash targets, robust control on accounts receivables. 

  • Partner with Commercial Operations and drive SalesForce (SFDC) accuracy to provide value added analytics

  • Drive commercial intensity and profitability for the ANZ/SEA region

  • Use domain knowledge to drive process improvements and automated analytical/digital tools

  • Partner with the operating leaders to drive the development of annual operating plans and estimates (MTP, V1, V3 cycle) for the business. 

  • Drive the policy and compliance while supporting team in meeting the targets

  • Build and maintain FP&A analytics framework in close coordination with colleagues locally and globally

  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for customized data and reports in a knowledgeable and flexible manner

  • Provide leadership on key initiatives and drive simplification projects that will facilitate and increase capacity for value-added financial analysis Special projects as required by management

  • Serve as functional owner of deal opportunities and orders/sales/CM pipeline oversight for the sub-region 

  • Provide country/sub-region level analytics on order trends, regional sales, backlog & convertibility; cash-flow; base costs measurements.

  • Support cost analysis and bullet train initiatives.

  • Analyse and report key business drivers and work on the financial impact on the business

 

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong SAP knowledge and Intermediate knowledge of Tableau 

  • Project Accounting background 

  • Knowledge of IFRS Accounting or US GAAP

  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams. 

  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact. 

  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. 

  • Effective problem identification and solution skills. 

  • Time zone flexibility (ANZ, SEA and U.S.A.)

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics

  • At least 8 years' experience in a Finance/Accounting role.

  • Proficiency in Excel & MS Office

  • Advanced level of English (both written and spoken);

  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate, identify and resolve complex financial issues;

  • Proven excellent analytical abilities.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Proven ability to lead and execute.
