Main tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policy is adequately implemented.
- Ensure Environmental Aspect-Impact and Hazard Risk Assessments are carried out, controlled, and updated.
- Implement measures to minimize environmental impact, including proper disposal of chemicals and waste materials.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with legal requirements, contractual and organizational requirements.
- Applies diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices pertinent to various aspects of design, installations, commissioning, and plant operations and maintenance.
- Ability to manage own workload and to adjust and adapt given work schedule in line with variable business demands.
- Supervises the work of engineers, technicians, and operators on the project(s) including providing technical guidance and reviewing daily works and subsequent results.
- Delivers leadership role in providing technical input to the Operations & Maintenance team, ensuring clients' process quality, engineering design, and safety compliance requirements are met by demonstrating creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment.
- Capable of identifying and delivering local Staff training and appraisals.
- Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labor to revenues
- Responsible for all department managers and supervisors, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees
- Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment
- Proven competency in the identification and managing/supervising of miscellaneous plant maintenance activities e.g. Preventative and Corrective maintenance, and startups for both Scheduled and Unscheduled occurrences.
- Verifies proper implementation of plant preventive maintenance plans as well as the work order issuance for any corrective maintenance whenever required.
- Evaluate operations and activities of assigned responsibilities. Recommend improvements and modifications whenever required.
- Verifies proper implementation of plant O&M KPIs, Operations and Maintenance procedures, O&M-specific tools, and software.
- Ensure identification of root cause for the identified non-conformances/ deviations and to implement corrective actions/Preventive actions.
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
- Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions
- Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way.
- Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
- Purchase materials, plan inventory, and oversee warehouse efficiency.
- Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on-site. In particular, this includes any issues on-site at client facilities, such as breaking a fence or tape residue on flooring
- Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
- Work closely with management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation.
- Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings
- Work closely with the inventory team to perform an analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment, maintaining solid inventory data, and reducing sub-rental expenses
- Maintain clear and open communication channels to update stakeholders on progress, challenges, and resolutions
Qualifications:
- Bs. / B.E./ Ms. in mechanical/electrical/chemical Engineering
- PMP Certification
- Awareness of general construction activities – Electrical & Mechanical.
- Troubleshooting skills for different water equipment and Instruments
- Work under limited or no supervision. Independently prioritizing and executing responsibilities
- Demonstrated strong decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm while taking charge in critical situations
- Diligence – work with precision and attention to details
- Ability to work under pressure, and function as a team player with good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work and conduct customer-facing communication
- Ability to accept guidance
- High level of integrity and commitment
- Open to relocate / travel in KSA and abroad
Experience: 10 to 15 management experience in the operation & maintenance of multiple projects /applications like “ sewage Treatment plant (Sewage and Industrial Treatment Plants) & Reverse Osmosis plants ( BWRO-SWRO)
