Job Description
This role is located on site in Peterborough.
The salary for this role is between £26,500 - £30k dependent on experience
This is a 37.5 hours- Mon to Friday role
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated logistics / shipping coordinator The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role primarily focuses on supporting our UK and European operations by coordinating the deployment of container and trailer-based mobile industrial water treatment equipment to customers worldwide.
Peterborough facility overview.
The Peterborough facility has two functional areas; an engineering facility that designs and builds mobile water treatment equipment, and a plant that regenerates ion exchange resin and works with cutting edge membrane technologies to provide mobile water treatment equipment for customers.
We are a really friendly site, big enough to give you experience to the corporate world, but small enough that you will know everyone that you work with and will understand the importance of building good working relationships
Responsibilities
- Arranging same-day deliveries and fast parcel shipments via dedicated express carriers, DHL, and FedEx.
- Communicating with internal and 3PL drivers, project managers, and field engineers to coordinate logistics activities for equipment deployment, delivery, and collection.
- Collaborating with third-party transport companies and freight forwarders for quotes and bookings.
- Monitoring driver progress using telematics.
- Creating delivery notes, CMRs, packing lists, and shipping invoices.
- Assisting with vehicle and trailer maintenance scheduling and operator's license compliance.
- Creating GMRs and customs entries (safety and security declarations using CDS and customs brokers), and managing ATA Carnet applications.
- HS Code clarification
- Performing basic administrative tasks such as updating records and scanning documents.
- Participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota for emergency deployments, with additional monthly compensation.
- Execution of asset transit between storage locations
- Co-ordination of assets in storage and flow path of assets within the facility > Safety focus on yard layout and safe operations.

- At least 3 years of experience in a shipping or logistics role.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- An enthusiastic, highly organized, and self-motivated approach.
