What your day might look like:
-Providing support for all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations.
-Networking with engineers both internally and externally to the plant, fostering collaboration to leverage and share plant improvement insights.
-Developing data collection processes and utilizing the information to drive process improvements.
-Directing projects focused on:
-Batch cycle time improvement in package filling.
-Utility savings projects related to natural gas, electric, and water costs.
-Raw material usage improvement projects.
-Incorporating LEAN and 5S initiatives into all projects to promote efficiency and effectiveness.
-Cultivating successful working relationships with plant team members to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement, and implementing safe, practical, and cost-effective solutions.
-Engaging in activities such as:
-Collaborating with other sites and support functions to identify best practices and successfully implement them within the plant.
-Supporting the training of new chemical operators.
-Leading and supporting small improvement projects.
-Assisting the quality lab, including substandard production investigations.
-Reviewing, improving, and developing standard operating procedures to reflect safe and efficient processes.

Requirements & Qualifications
-Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline at an accredited college or university.
-Maintaining a GPA greater than 3.2.
-Completion of at least freshman year.

Eligibility requirement(s):
-Ability and willingness to be part of the Department of Homeland Security's Personnel Surety Program.
