RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Water Technologies Division is currently searching for an experienced quality engineer to support the production of filtration membranes at the Veolia WTS Minnetonka site. We are looking for a highly motivated and technically strong engineer to support our manufacturing facility. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for the production quality of the newly built Electrochemical Separation line and related products. Essential Responsibilities
● Improve and develop manufacturing processes for existing membrane products as well as New Product Introduction (NPI), documenting process changes, driving process / fixture improvements, driving cost of quality (COQ) actions
● Analyze machine and product problems and take corrective measures to minimize scrap, rework, and escaping defects
● Plan and participate in new equipment commissioning, qualifications, respective documentation and training
● Work together and benchmark other Veolia plant’s performance for best practices and quality improvements
● Define area standards and processes, including but not limited to critical to quality variables, standard work, work instructions, process training guides, detecting, troubleshooting, and resolving production problems
● Assure that all engineering designs and technical data are complete and accurately documented to provide an accurate technical base for future reference and to meet customer requirements
● Lead material and defect review processes, focus on Quality Priorities and manage Quality reporting
● Assure that customer issues are tracked and addressed in a timely and correct manner by managing customer data and leading for improvement
● Lead RCA and Lessons learned processes across the business, communicating significant quality events to the business and commercial teams by engaging Six Sigma tools
● Define and drive projects for yield increase, scrap and escaping defect reduction and process optimization
● Lead and effectively interface with manufacturing, sales, commercial and other support teams across Veolia plants for continual improvement and issue resolution
● Manage training needs within the quality network to ensure effective skill set balance and employee development
● Participate in EHS related actions to improve safety in own area
Qualifications/Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Science or similar technical field
● 3+ years of professional work experience in manufacturing environment as quality engineer or similar role
● Advanced user knowledge of MS Office or Google Suite and SAP and ability to learn other software applications
● Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% between Veolia plants (Minnetonka and Boston)
● Ability to prioritize and organize work by providing direction and addressing issues
● Ability to work in and lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
● Highly team-oriented attitude and ability to successfully lead people
● Customer focused and detail-oriented attitude
● Strong verbal and written communication and influencing skills
Compensation:$85,000-$95,000
