Job Description

Key Responsibilities & Tasks of the Jobholder:

Sales Activities: 

  1. Support the Service Business Team by generating responses to customer sales enquiries.

  2. Support the preparation and review of weekly and monthly sales figures.

  3. Support the new laboratory sales business by generating quotations to customer enquiries, managing and controlling of all supporting documentation along with preparation and  review of weekly sales figures.

  4. Ordering of new lab equipment and consumables, liaising with clients and schedulers for accurate installation dates and invoicing.

  5. Take full ownership of Sales Order Processing.

 

Quotations: 

  1. Process and issue accurate quotations for all Spare Parts & Consumables and Service Labour covering both Laboratory and Industrial applications.

  2. Follow-up all quotations until close out.

  3. Own the Quotation Process to ensure regular monitoring and on-going follow up, and coordinate any additional management and internal team assistance required to chase up and capture any outstanding commercial opportunities.

  4. Identify any issues and execute recommendations for improving the Quotation Process to drive Service Business revenue growth and elevated commercial performance.

 

Customer Accounts Management:

  1. Maximise our commercial performance by maintaining regular contact with all customer accounts to ensure we capture their full range of Spare Parts, Consumables and Service Labour.

  2. Take ownership for resolving all customer account commercial queries.

  3. Installed Base Analysis - review customer accounts to identify additional commercial opportunities to secure, optimise and serve their Installed Base.

Support:

  1. Provide back-up support and cover to the internal sales department to ensure the smooth and effective operation of this critical role during periods of absence.

Administrative Duties:

  1. Carry out administrative duties to support the efficient and effective operation of the internal sales function as required.

  2. Participate in customer account marketing campaigns as required. 

  3. Participate in Company Stock Checks as required.

  4. Ordering of workwear and tool kits.

  5. Updating of training files and client portals.

  1. This is a business-critical role as it is the primary interface with our customers on a day-to-day basis, and has a significant influence on the satisfaction of our customers, and the effectiveness and efficiency of our Service Business.
