Job Description

Job  Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Pipe Stress Analysis Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in performing and managing pipe stress analysis for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Essential Responsibilities / Expectations

Technical Delivery & Quality Assurance:

  • Sign off on complex pipe stress analysis calculations, reports, and deliverables with full technical responsibility

  • Ensure all analysis work complies with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications

  • Validate software results using engineering judgment and hand calculations

  • Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning phases

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of pipe stress engineers across multiple projects

  • Develop and maintain organizational pipe stress analysis standards, procedures, and best practices

  • Conduct technical training sessions to build team capabilities

  • Perform performance reviews and support career development of team members

Multidisciplinary Coordination:

  • Lead design review meetings and coordinate with structural, pressure vessel, mechanical design, and process engineering teams

  • Interface with equipment vendors to resolve technical issues and clarify requirements

  • Ensure seamless integration of pipe stress requirements with overall project design

Value Engineering & Optimization:

  • Identify and implement value engineering opportunities to optimize project cost, schedule, and effort hours

  • Provide field support to troubleshoot and resolve construction and commissioning issues

  • Challenge conventional approaches and develop innovative solutions for complex problems

Client & Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as primary technical point of contact for clients on pipe stress matters

  • Present technical findings and recommendations to project stakeholders

  • Negotiate technical solutions with clients and vendors when requirements conflict with design constraints

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through technical excellence and responsive service

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and budget compliance

  • Monitor project budget hours versus actuals and take corrective actions as needed

  • Allocate resources effectively across projects based on priorities and technical requirements

  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations

Proposal & Commercial Support:

  • Provide technical input for proposal development including scope definition and effort estimation

  • Review supplier technical offers and provide technical evaluations

  • Support business development activities through technical presentations and client engagement

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and evolving codes and standards

  • Identify opportunities to improve analysis processes, tools, and methodologies

  • Share knowledge and best practices across the organization

Qualifications

Experience Required (Min – Max year): 15-20 of relevant experience in Water, Power, Oil & Gas or related Industry.
