About the job
Veolia Supply Chain team has an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual who will be responsible for leading and managing all warehouse operations for our ES Products, Projects, and Services group in the USA. The incumbent will manage and oversee the logistics and supply chain activities for planning, procurement, receiving and shipping from all locations to ensure that products are shipped to customers on time.


This role involves strategic planning, implementing operational policies, ensuring compliance with safety and
regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and productivity. The
successful candidate will work directly with Global Supply Chain, Projects, and Services Operations Team, along with the extended NAM Logistics team.


This is a fast-paced job with many variables including managing conversations at various levels of the organization. This position will be based in Ashland, VA.


Job Description

  • Manage a team of logistics professionals, material planners, warehouse personnel and daily operational activities of all warehouses and 3PL service partners in USA in compliance with EHS on receiving, storage and transportation requirements.
  • Lead the team to identify, analyze, manage potential and actual issues, evaluate risk, and implement both preventive and corrective actions by partnering with multiple functions.
  • Create or revise warehouse SOP’s, conducts trainings on SOP’s and identify supply chain optimization opportunities.
  • Provides direction, training, and developmental opportunities for warehouse staff.
  • Responsible for OTD/OTC delivery performance KPI’s to ensure communication accuracy for order fulfilment.
  • Ensure that SAP and other systems are accurate and up to date.
  • Oversee 3PL execution of goods receipt, storage, and outbound order processing.
  • Ensure understanding, training, and adherence to vendor compliance requirements; facilitate research and case resolution.
  • Implement robust operations processes and cycle count procedures. Reconcile inventory discrepancies and follow-up with an investigation to determine root cause.
  • Maintain clean and organized warehouse premises.
  • Run reports, interface with production, sales, purchasing and suppliers to ensure timely customs release and schedule inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Ensure the planning of material for Inventory and Projects is in accordance with Inventory goals and project and service schedules.
  • Ensure all warehouse specific planning functions including but not limited to, Production Order Creation and Purchase Req conversions are processed in alignment with inventory, individual project, and sales order’s needs.
  • Ensure that VWTS’ ISPM 15 program meets all regulations and actively participate in all audits.
  • Create Purchase requests utilizing the Indirect Purchase Process as deployed in NAM for warehouse consumables.
  • Oversee import shipments by working with sourcing, suppliers, broker, and customs compliance team to streamline classification and clearance process and support compliance initiatives.
  • Comply with EHS & Quality System regulations and policies.
  • Set work priorities for the team and ensure a safe, inclusive work environment for everyone.
  • Hire, retain, develop, conduct performance reviews, and evaluate staff to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in supply chain/business, with minimum 7-10 years of experience in warehousing and logistics function and minimum 5-7 years of experience in managing employees.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of SAP experience in the sales & distribution, planning and shipment module.
  • Must have working knowledge of import/export regulations (e.g. Tariff Classification; Certificate of Origin, Commercial Invoice, etc.) and carrier management.
  • Strong understanding of safety and regulatory requirements in warehousing.
  • Forklift certification
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
