Job Description

   Title: Analytical Laboratory Intern

   Location: Tomball, TX

   Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

What your day might look like:

The intern will support daily operations of a high volume, modern analytical laboratory processing over 200 samples per day. Specifically, the intern will be responsible for various tasks such as: sample management, data entry, record keeping, database development, sample preparation, and continuous improvements in EHS and quality departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine sample preparation as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). 

  • Manage inventory for required operating materials. 

  • Ensure strict adherence to all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. 

  • Ensure strict adherence to all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management System requirements. 

  • Effectively manage all assigned tasks to ensure completion by established due dates. 

  • Provide support for other departments and complete additional tasks as assigned.

   Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Required Skills: Proficient computer skills including typing and Word/Excel (Docs/Sheets), Good communication skills, Good safety awareness, Professional attitude and behavior, and Seeking a career in STEM.

  • Minimum Qualifications: 18+ years old, 2+ years college course work completed, pursuing/completed degree in STEM.

  • Preferred Qualifications: Recently graduated with a 2 year/4 year degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biology or related field
