Job Description
Title: Analytical Laboratory Intern
Location: Tomball, TX
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
What your day might look like:
The intern will support daily operations of a high volume, modern analytical laboratory processing over 200 samples per day. Specifically, the intern will be responsible for various tasks such as: sample management, data entry, record keeping, database development, sample preparation, and continuous improvements in EHS and quality departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine sample preparation as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
Manage inventory for required operating materials.
Ensure strict adherence to all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Ensure strict adherence to all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management System requirements.
Effectively manage all assigned tasks to ensure completion by established due dates.
Provide support for other departments and complete additional tasks as assigned.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Required Skills: Proficient computer skills including typing and Word/Excel (Docs/Sheets), Good communication skills, Good safety awareness, Professional attitude and behavior, and Seeking a career in STEM.
Minimum Qualifications: 18+ years old, 2+ years college course work completed, pursuing/completed degree in STEM.
Preferred Qualifications: Recently graduated with a 2 year/4 year degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biology or related field
