In a context of Cloud & Digital transformation, Veolia Water Technologies is one the most advanced French companies in Cloud transformation.
We engaged in 2014 a full migration of our IT infrastructure to the public cloud. In 2021, we reach a nearly full Cloud application landscape and now working on the next transformation step by transforming application & business. Our Cloud providers are Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform and SaaS providers as Salesforces.
The LATIS Program is a worldwide corporate initiative based on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP, which intends to:
- Provide a single Core Model Information System for the Veolia Water Technologies group;
- Increase information availability and exchange across the BUs;
- Support Veolia Water Technologies Business.
This program is one of the largest implementations in France.
In 2020 we completed a Cloud migration to AWS with an upgrade to 9.2. We are currently working hard to implement an efficient code current strategy.
Our ERP is using following domains (more or less customized):
- Finance
- Sales & Logistics (Distribution)
- Job Cost, Non-Stock Procurement & Time
- Manuf, Inventory, Stock PO
- Service (even if moving to SMAX)
We have a large scope of interfaces, some are more integrated using Web Services than others.
The main role of the Ditribution functional process owner will be to assist the ERP Functional Manager by being referent on the Veolia Water Technologies ERP Core Model based on JD Edwards.
The expert is contributing to its correct implementation/evolution and ensuring the Level 3 support role on the installed base in closed coordination with the outsourced AMS-Level 2 (Application Maintenance Services) and process owners from other domains.
LATIS being more and more digitized and integrated with other third party tools, the position requires interactions with other IT teams such as the Digital one and Performance one. Digitalization and Integration topics are a few of the strategic on-going topics.
- CORE MODEL
- Ensure « Reference knowledge » on one/more LATIS business processes and their translation in LATIS JDE Core Model (CM)
- Have good knowledge of existing localizations
- Design, Build and Tests of CM evolutions identified during maintenance phases or asked by the community, coordinate with development team if needed and transfer knowledge to L2
- Maintain CM documentation up-to-date
- Participate in domain meetings with any third party partners and/or L2 (schedule, prepare agenda, lead meeting, write & circulate minutes).
2. APPLICATION MANAGEMENT
- Bug fixing:
- Ensure L3 support on CM & localizations upon request of the AMS (Application Management Services)
- Fix set up on CM bugs and perform tests
- Enhancement:
- CM:
- Coordination with BPO (Business Process owners) and business key users community
- Estimation of workload, design, build and tests of CM enhancement
- Localizations:
- Coordination with BPO and business key users community
- Review and validation of application management provider estimation for deliverable
3. COORDINATION WITH BUSINESS USER COMMUNITY
Core mission = Ensure LATIS consistency with Business process evolution
- Participate in the Business user community and ensure regular feedback on LATIS domain (presentation of new features, input on roll out status, live demos…)
- Receive request for LATIS enhancements and ensure analysis & feedback to business community (cf. enhancement process)
- Actively participate in the VWT annual events (demos, presentation, workshop lead…)
- Update the Latis users website with relevant documentation
4. CROSS TOPICS & OTHERS
- Ensure narrow coordination with other functional domains
- Contribute to team work & analysis in a proactive way on cross domain topics
Required functional skills:
- Good knowledge & practice of functional processes & JD Edwards modules
- Good functional knowledge of Distribution & Supply Chain ; Sales / Services JD Edwards modules (+ knowledge of Purchase/Manufacturing/Inventory modules, these domains being covered by other process owners)
Required behavior skills:
- Leadership, rigor, synthesis
- Patience and Pedagogy, good communication, team spirit
- Proactivity, curiosity and aptitude to work on cross domains (crucial for ERP integrated topics)
- Service oriented, commitment to BUs
- Aptitude to work on an international and multi-actor environment
- English fluent written and spoken, the project language being English
