Flexcity, a leading European energy technology company within the Veolia Group, is looking for a Chief Operating Officer F/H/X in our Brussels office (Amsterdam or Paris also possible) to scale our operations across The Netherlands, Belgium, and France, and shape the future of energy flexibility.
Job Description
As COO, you'll own the operational P&L and lead our cross-border teams (portfolio management, trading, technical delivery) to optimize our growing portfolio of flexible energy assets. You'll be a key member of our Executive Committee, driving both day-to-day execution and long-term strategic growth.
You will report directly to the CEO.
**YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Lead People & Organization (30%): Build and develop high-performing operational teams across NL, BE, FR with a culture of collaboration, development and performance
Run & Optimize Operations (30%): Oversee end-to-end delivery of flexibility services (trading, dispatching, monitoring, settlements) and drive operational excellence
Own Operational P&L (20%): Full responsibility for revenue, gross margin and cost control across core countries
Drive Growth & Profitability (20%): Optimize contract margins, minimize penalties, partner with Growth and Product teams to scale customer value
Qualifications
**WHAT YOU BRING**
5+ years leading operational teams in the energy sector with P&L responsibility
10+ years of work experience
Fluent in English + Fluent in Dutch or French
Proven track record managing multi-country teams and driving financial performance
Strong analytical skills and comfort with data, dashboards, and process automation
Passionate about the energy transition with a team-oriented, results-driven mindset
Experience in change management and cross-functional collaboration
