Job Description

Within the Hubgrade Digital team, as the IoT lead SEA & APAC Coordinator, reporting to the Digital Zone Manager, you will be responsible for the following tasks: 

IoT lead for SEA area:

  • Main contact person to local BUs related to IoT/connectivity subjects
  • In charge of Hubgrade set-up for Local BUs of the SEA region for :

@ tender / sales opportunity stage : do the technical study of the connectivity & costing / proposal 

@ projects execution: do as per procedure from Digital BU

- Project : provide Hubgrade planning

- Design stage : list necessary BOM, provide necessary technical information to E&IC design team, liaise with Process team related to parameters, KPIs, schematics to be input in Hubgrade

- Procurement : provide specification & quotations to project team (project team to purchase).

- Commissioning

- IoT/connectivity set-up and configuration (modem + accessories) for all Hubgrade products

- PLC configuration and additional programming if needed (may be guidance only to external contractor)

- softwares configuration (Hubgrade back office, connection with Latis, etc…)

  • Provide after-sales service for Installed Bases / connected clients
  • Assist in the roll-out of the new connectivities solutions.
  • Feedback on IoT / connectivity activities

 

IoT coordinator for APAC

ANZ Service

  • tender / proposal stage : Hubgrade connectivity costing for ANZ Services team.

L1 Support

  • Provide L1 technical support of IoT leads of China, SEA and ANZ on OT/Connectivity topics (tender,installation, compatibility, after-sales support...). Raise issues to Level L2 if they can not be solved at L1 level

  • Monitor and follow-up open tickets (from BU level and/or L2 level) until the issues are resolved with the target of 0 zero ticket open

IoT Coordination for APAC zone

  • Assist in the roll-out of the new connectivities solutions provided by Digital BU within the APAC zone

  • Collect updates from Digital BUs and inform the IoT leads of each region (monthly communication).

  • Coordinate with E&IC engineer / proposal for them to understand the scope of IoT (hardware) and the scope remaining to them.

  • Quarterly improvement suggestion report (feedbacks) based on issues faced by BUs.

  • Monitor Hubgrade Connectivity Report & Manage the APAC IoT platforms and the IoT fleet of the zone

  • Put in place and keep organise a standard procedure for Hubgrade connectivity & configuration - design, BOM, hardware and software configuration (execution)

  • Build interface dashboard with AWS Quicksight software

  • Train IoT leads on the installation of IoT/connectivity devices

  • Train IoT leads for the deployment of the Digital Tools (Hubgrade)

  • Collect feedback from IoT leads from each zone to improve tender costing

  • Develop internal tools (sheet, web app) related to Hubgrade as necessary

  • Understand and keep up to date with Digital development in water industry (technology watch)

  • Work on any other new tasks related to Hubgrade, Automation or Digital as per requirement of the Digital Zone Manager.

Qualifications

  • Ideally with an educational background in Electrical / Mechatronics / Automation Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the relevant field, including on-site commissioning experience.

  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming & knowledge of industrial communication protocol (Modbus TCP, Profinet, Ethernet IP)

  • Basic knowledge of IoT digital cloud solutions / databases.

  • Ability to  understand electrical schematic and PID diagrams will be an advantage.

  • Knowledge of AWS Quicksight will be appreciated.

  • Regional mobility (limited, only if required for BUs support)

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) and proficiency in Mandarin will be an advantage.
