An Internship with Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions presents a unique opportunity for candidates to take on projects from initiation to completion during their tenure with the team. The successful candidate will enjoy significant visibility across various functional groups, including engineering, operations, maintenance, and more, while providing continuous support to optimize safety and manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, and contribute to process improvement projects.

What your day might look like:
• Support all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations.
• Network with engineers both internally and externally to the plant, fostering collaboration to leverage and share plant improvement learnings.
• Develop data collection processes and utilize the information to drive process improvements.
• Direct and lead projects identified as:
• Batch cycle time improvement in package filling.
• Utility savings projects related to natural gas, electric, and water costs.
• Raw material usage improvement projects.
• Integrate LEAN and 5S initiatives into all projects to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
• Cultivate strong working relationships with plant team members to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement, and implement safe, practical, and cost-effective solutions.
• Engage in activities such as:
• Collaborating with other sites and support functions to identify best practices and successfully implement them within the plant.
• Supporting the training of new chemical operators.
• Leading small improvement projects.
• Assisting the quality lab, including substandard production investigation.
• Reviewing, improving, and developing standard operating procedures to reflect safe and efficient processes.

Core Requirements:
•Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline at an accredited college or university.
•Maintaining a GPA greater than 3.2.
•Completion of at least freshman year.

•Demonstrates strategic thinking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects and resources while upholding a high standard of work and integrity.
•Exhibits a positive attitude and resilience in navigating challenges.

Eligibility requirement(s):
•Ability and willingness to be part of the Department of Homeland Security's Personnel Surety Program.
