Under the general direction of a Sr. Analyst Performance or Mgr Performance, the Analyst Performance is responsible for problem solving on a project. In addition, the incumbent is tasked with identifying issues, setting and validating hypotheses, interviewing client employees and external experts, gathering and analyzing information from abroad, and preparing proposals, client communications, and presentations. This role requires analytics, communication, project management, client leadership, and problem solving skills to drive impact in a complex and ambiguous client environment, as well as the ability to participate in and contribute effectively to a high performing team in roles of Analyst or Engineer, supporting the delivery of the overall program.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- The ability to quickly and efficiently uncover the critical information required by the client to gain insight into a business issue.
- The ability to demonstrate strong quantitative and qualitative skills in both a team environment, and often under the purview of a senior associate.
- Assist in analyzing operational and financial datasets to help identify, quantify, extrapolate, and measure performance improvements
- Collaborate and develop forecasting models of program activity to support program management and budget control
- Assist in conducting various analysis techniques including initial benchmarking, ride-alongs, interviews, and site visits.
- Collaborate and in the development and documenting bottom-up identification, quantification of improvements, and synthesis in assembling opportunity business cases.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business or related field; an advanced degree desirable
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience in a utility, engineering or consulting environment highly desirable
- Key expectations of the incumbent are a strong analytical mind, exceptional communication skills, and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to facilitate group meetings and workshops effectively
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills including ability to present to groups of professionals at all levels comfortably
- Strong PC skills are essential. Must have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—advanced to expert level with Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Mobility and ability to travel in excess of 50% required
- Must possess strong time management skills and have a demonstrated ability to work in both team and independent settings
- Must possess strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Must be comfortable working in a fast pace, ambiguous, and constantly evolving environment.
