Senior Process Engineer – Drinking water solutions

Company Description

Do you want to help shape the future of drinking water supply in the Nordic region?

Krüger is Veolia’s water technology expert in the Nordics and a leading player in the development and implementation of advanced drinking water solutions. We work to ensure a sustainable water supply through innovative technologies, professional project management, and strong process expertise.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Process Engineer with solid experience in drinking water who can take a central role in some of Denmark’s and the Nordic region’s most complex and significant water projects.

Job Description

Your Role
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be a key technical expert on projects involving the establishment and modernization of waterworks and drinking water treatment plants. You will work closely with internal specialists and our clients to ensure that the solutions are technically robust, sustainable, and future-proof.

You will play an influential role in how we design, optimize, and implement processes, and you will often act as a sparring partner for project managers, clients, and junior colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Technical responsibility for process design, dimensioning, and optimization of drinking water plants in the Nordics
  • Dialogue with utilities regarding strategic and technical decisions
  • Preparation of solution proposals, process descriptions, and economic assessments
  • Participation in tender preparation
  • Analysis of process data, test runs, and optimization scenarios
  • Contribution to the development of new technologies and methods to ensure high drinking water quality

Technical sparring and mentoring of younger engineers in the team.

Qualifications

About You
We are looking for a candidate with strong technical skills and experience in the field of drinking water. You are an experienced engineer who combines solid process knowledge with the ability to create value in practice — and a collaborative partner who builds trust with both clients and colleagues. You take natural ownership of tasks from idea to implementation.

You have:

  • A degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Process Engineering – or an equivalent background
  • At least 5 years of experience in drinking water treatment, process design, and/or optimization of waterworks
  • Strong understanding of water chemistry, hygiene requirements, and regulatory standards
  • An analytical and structured mindset – with an eye for both detail and the big picture

Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams, preferably within large infrastructure projects
You are both the engineer with deep process expertise and the natural sparring partner others turn to — because you transform knowledge into solutions that create value today and endure tomorrow.
