Technical Project Manager for water and wastewater projects

Company Description

Krüger is Veolia’s water technology expert in the Nordic region. We play a central role in developing innovative solutions that ensure clean water and support the green transition. As part of the world’s leading environmental group, we work to preserve water resources and create security for utilities and society as a whole.

With us, you’ll join a highly skilled professional environment where we combine advanced technology and expert project management in the fields of water and wastewater treatment. Together with utilities in Denmark and across the Nordics – particularly in Norway – we establish and modernize waterworks and treatment plants.
Our mission is clear: to deliver efficient, future-proof solutions that make a real difference for our customers, the environment, and future generations.

In our Engineering and Procurement projects department, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong project management skills.

Job Description

Your Role
As a Technical Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in projects within the water and wastewater sector – from the initial idea to the final handover.
You will work with a broad range of tasks, giving you the opportunity for both technical immersion and hands-on project execution. You’ll be in daily dialogue and negotiation with clients, suppliers, and contractors.

Beyond your technical expertise, the role emphasizes your ability to lead a project team, coordinate and follow up on team tasks, and ensure progress on the project’s mechanical deliverables.
You understand the importance of meeting deadlines and managing interdependencies with other project disciplines and the overall scope.

Your tasks will include:

  • Concept and detailed design of all mechanical components, including CAD design
  • Specification and procurement of equipment and components
  • Preparing tender documents for suppliers and subcontractors
  • Participating in bid preparation
  • Supervision, commissioning, and handover
  • Dialogue and negotiation with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Troubleshooting and fault analysis

    Qualifications

    Who you are
You are a Mechanical Engineer with at least five years of experience in a similar position.
Experience from projects in water supply and/or wastewater treatment is an advantage, but most importantly, you have a strong technical background and the desire to apply your knowledge in complex projects.

You work independently, take responsibility for your own and your team’s tasks, and strike the right balance between high quality and appropriate detail. You deliver as promised – even when projects require an extra effort.

    We imagine that you:

    • Have experience with mechanical design and drafting, preferably using CAD
    • Can prepare bid and tender documents and handle technical specifications
    • Have knowledge of procurement, installation, and testing of mechanical equipment
    • Have experience with the design and execution of infrastructure projects
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners, and communicate clearly within project teams

    Additional Information

    We offer
You will have a position with challenging tasks and excellent opportunities for professional development.
You’ll join an open and informal environment where collaboration and knowledge sharing are a natural part of everyday work. We value your well-being and offer flexibility so you can balance meaningful work with your personal life.
